Degree and diploma programs
When our school opened its doors in the 1880s, we offered business courses that included shorthand, bookkeeping and business writing. Today, we still offer business programs and give students the opportunity to earn college degrees and diplomas in a wide variety of business topics. In addition, we provide degree and diploma programs in information technology, health care, and legal science.
A history of student support
In the 1880s, the St. Paul school attracted students from the Twin Cities and from greater Minnesota. Students from small towns and farms were reassured that the school would provide the best possible environment to prepare for business careers. They were given careful instructions about taking streetcars and finding appropriate places to live.
Although students no longer need help using streetcars, we still provide the support they need to be successful in school and in their careers. We offer career placement services that help students and graduates with job searches. We provide free tutoring, instruction in library use and an environment that encourages learning. Classes are small so that students receive the personal attention that fosters success.
Growing to serve you
Our college has expanded in recent years, adding new campuses and programs. We share curriculum and resources with other members of the Globe Education Network, a consortium of career colleges in the upper Midwest and beyond. Students enjoy the facilities and resources of a large college and have the benefits of a small school—small class sizes and the knowledge that faculty and staff care about their success.
