“My past stints in the legal field include working as the assistant attorney general in Nebraska and as an editor with Thomson West. I have also taught at UW-Eau Claire, UW-Whitewater and criminal justice courses at Mount Senario. The best thing about being an instructor is working with enthusiastic learners and how energizing they can be to students and instructors. Have you noticed that Globe instructors don’t seem to age? It’s true! A stimulating, collaborative learning environment keeps everyone young at heart. Everyone on campus is focused on student success. The campus culture promotes professionalism, collegiality, intellectual growth and personal development. I love it!
One fun fact about me is that even though the odds are not in my favor, I have not abandoned my lifelong dream of playing for the Green Bay Packers.”

“My start in teaching came when I went to Japan for two years to teach English. I currently work for Lutheran Social Services as a Youth Services Specialist, utilizing the wrap-around philosophy of social services.
An interesting fact about me: The mountain I am planning to climb next year is 14,229 feet tall. This is almost 1,000 vertical feet taller than the mountain I attempted to climb the previous year.”
Kyle Roder
Education:
- Chippewa Valley Technical College Police Academy
- B.A., Criminal Justice – UW Eau Claire
“I wanted to teach here at Globe to provide students with a practical background in criminal justice. There is much more to learning than simply reading from the book, and I appreciate that Globe offers this type of classroom experience.
I am learning more about the students and enjoying my experience, but I must admit, I was also drawn to the school due to my crush on the dean of students.
A fun fact you may not guess about me is that I am a Parrothead and Cincinnati Bengals fan.”
