Accounting degrees and diplomas
We offer the following degrees and diplomas that prepare students for rewarding accounting positions:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BS). Students are able to complete this degree in three years of full-time study.
- Associate in Applied Science in Management Accounting (AAS). This degree program may be completed in 18 months of full-time study.
- Associate in Applied Science in Accounting and Tax Specialist (AAS). A student who attends school full-time may be able to finish the program in 21 months.
- Diploma in Accounting. Students can complete this diploma program in 12 months of full-time study.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Students in this program complete both specialized accounting courses and general business classes. Upon graduation, they have the technical accounting knowledge and broad perspective needed for success in the field. Graduates are prepared for positions in private, public and governmental accounting. They are ready to begin careers in audit, tax, payroll or financial analysis. They are also prepared to take Accrediting Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT) certification exams. We encourage students who take professional certification exams to apply for our Professional Certification Scholarship to defray the costs of exams.
Diploma in accounting
Our diploma program in accounting provides students with a way to prepare quickly for rewarding careers. In addition, graduates of the diploma program are able to return to school to earn one of our associate or bachelor’s degrees in accounting or business. Most of the credits from the diploma program transfer smoothly to the next level.
