Degree programs in IT
We offer the following college degrees in information technology:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS). Students are able to complete this bachelor’s degree in three years of full-time study.
- Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology (AAS). Students may complete this degree in 18 months of full-time study.
Students can enhance their credentials by earning professional certifications such as those offered by Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco. They can also take exams in areas such as wireless security and wireless networking. Employers value the knowledge and commitment to the field represented by these certifications.
Information technology online
We offer both of these programs through Globe University’s online division as well as at our Eau Claire campus. Students can also take some programs online and others on campus. They can study part-time or take evening classes. We offer great flexibility so that students can achieve their education and career goals.
IT classes
Students in both programs complete general education classes and basic business classes as well as core courses in IT that cover the following subjects:
- Databases
- Technology fundamentals
- Network communications
- Windows client operating system
- Computer programming logic
- Basic web design
- Information systems overview
Students also take advanced courses in areas such as web application development, security and networking. They may focus in one of these areas, providing them with in-depth training and education.
