Globe University-Eau Claire is a career college. We work hard to help students and graduates find positions that will launch them on great careers. We take this responsibility very seriously. Workshops

Our career services staff offers workshops throughout the year on topics such as writing resumes, cover letters and thank you notes. We also provide tips on how to research employers and conduct interview sessions. These workshops are open to all students.

Job fairs

Job fairs are a great way for students to learn about employers in the area and for employers to learn about our students. We organize job fairs at least twice each year and invite local employers to attend. Students are sometimes hired from job fair encounters. More frequently, they are called by employers after leaving their resumes at job fairs.

Career Development

This is a course required of almost all students near the end of their programs. It teaches them to write resumes and application letters and build interviewing skills. It also helps them develop effective career planning strategies.

Informational interviews

Informational interviews allow students to learn how practitioners view their professions. They get practice interviewing so that when they apply for jobs they will have the right level of confidence. Our career services staff helps student arrange informational interviews. Students have occasionally been hired after informational interviews!

Networking

Networking is one of the most useful tools in the job-seeker’s toolkit. Students at Globe University-Eau Claire begin networking right away—they meet people in their classes who may turn out to be professional colleagues. Students have many other opportunities to network during their time at our school— job fairs, informational interviews and on-campus student-sponsored events.

Coaching

Our career services staff is available for personal coaching. They will review resumes and application letters and give interview tips. They maintain contacts with area employers and give students advice about possible job opportunities. They are dedicated to helping students succeed with their job searches.
