Scholarships

We offer a variety of scholarships to eligible students.  Application forms for some of these scholarships are available at http://www.globeuniversity.edu/scholarship-applications/

High school seniors

  • President’s Scholarship. For an eligible high school senior with a 2.0 GPA, this scholarship pays up to $2000 toward tuition, depending on the student’s application date.
  • Director’s Academic Scholarship. The amount of the Director’s Academic Scholarship award is determined by student performance on the Career Profile Assessment test during the year before graduation from high school. Eligible students may receive up to $5000 toward tuition, depending on their scores on this test.
  • High School Advantage. Although not strictly a scholarship, this program allows an enrolled high school senior to get a head start on a college education by taking up to four courses tuition-free during the senior year.

Military students

  • Military Advantage Scholarship. An eligible military student may receive an award equal to 10 percent of the cost of tuition and books each quarter.
  • Purple Heart Scholarship. Service members and veterans wounded while serving in the Gulf Wars are eligible for the Purple Heart Scholarship. Spouses and dependents of soldiers killed in action during these conflicts are also eligible. The award covers tuition and fees remaining after all other awards and benefits are applied.
  • Military Service Scholarship. Depending on the college program selected, an eligible military student who was severely wounded while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan may receive up to $5000 toward tuition.
  • Military Active Duty Scholarship. Qualified active duty service members and their families will receive scholarships for the difference between the current tuition rate and $250 per credit.

Other scholarships

  • Business Alliance Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to 10 percent of tuition to eligible students employed by one of Globe University’s business alliance partners.
  • Professional Certification Scholarship. This scholarship helps eligible students pay for professional certification exams.
  • Community Service Scholarship. This program awards up to $2000 to students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher, a 90 percent attendance rate and a record of community service.

Federal loans and grants

The federal government awards grants and loans to eligible students pursuing higher education. These include the following:

  • Academic Competitiveness Grant
  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
  • Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan (STAFFORD)
  • Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS)
  • National Science and Math Access to Retain Talent (SMART) grant
  • Veteran’s benefits/GI Bill

Private loans

Banks, credit unions and savings and loan institutions may offer loans to qualified students. The terms vary, as do the amounts available.

Independent scholarships

There are independent scholarship programs available—you just have to find the right one for you and apply. The American Indian Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to tribal members. There are scholarships for students from other ethnic groups, tall students, left-handed students, students who are members of particular churches or who attend specific high schools. Students or their parents may be employed by companies that award scholarships to employees and their families. You can explore independent scholarships on the Internet. Or our financial aid representatives can give you suggestions.
